Food is Happiness
This year, I have been doing a lot of baking, and my latest obsession is shortbread. The Caker has a great shortbread recipe in her latest book - Sunday Baking. I've adapted the recipe by adding freeze dried fruit powder. I made 2 types - Passionfruit shortbread dipped in dark chocolate with freeze dried raspberries sprinkled on top, and Lime shortbread dipped in dark chocolate with shopped pistachios sprinkled on top.
I've also got some orange, lemon and matcha flavours that I'm planning to try out as well - very excited!
I packaged up the biscuits into little bundles - perfect for Christmas gifts!
Also had some leftover oranges so made another Orange and Poppyseed cake. This is proving to be a hit flavour! I've also figured out that beating the buttercream for a long time gives it an extra lightness that makes it divine. Totally in love with my new KitchenAid Mixer!
