

Moody Landscapes
I've spent some time editing some of the photos from our trip down south and a there's a couple that turned out pretty well! In my excitement with the new camera, I forgot to check the image settings and assumed I was shooting in RAW because who on earth doesn't, duh. Turns out I was shooting in JPEG :( Oh well, lesson learnt. The photos aren't bad straight out of the camera as JPEG's, I just like to have a bit more flexibility when editing, which RAW provides. Starry Night
Last night was one of the clearest nights I've ever seen in Wellington - not a single speck of cloud in the sky at 7:30pm. I got far too excited and dragged Maurizio out to a hill in the middle of nowhere, thinking that we could catch the sunset and then photograph the night sky as well. Little did I know that it actually takes ages for the sky to get dark! We got there at about 8:30/9:00pm and it was just after sunset so you could see a bit of a glow along the horizon. I sto


Taking the camera out for a spin
We just got back from a little holiday in Queenstown and it was BEAUTIFUL. Oh my I just love mountains, they are the best. Not the boring ones in Wellington that are covered with houses, the EPIC ones in the Southern Alps that are dusted with snow. SO GOOD. So I managed to get a few shots with my camera while we were down there. The first 2 days were flipping hot and sunny - 22 degrees. Not ideal for landscape photography, but perfect for ice cream on the beach :D The last 2
