I'd like to share a new tool I discovered called LOLcolors, which is a curated collection of colour palettes with hex codes provided. A very useful too for graphic designers and illustrators looking for a bit of colour inspiration. I am currently working on illustrating some greeting cards so this has come in very handy! #graphicdesign #colour #color #art #design #graphic
I've been watching a few Illustrator tutorials going over some shortcuts and tips and tricks to streamline and speed up my workflow. Did you know you can align your objects to the artboards as well as each other? Now I can perfectly center everything quicker. I've taught myself how to use Illustrator (beginning in high school) but it's really great to be able to learn from these tutorials a more efficient, faster or cleaner method of achieving things. I've used the blend tool
I remember as a young child, my parents sent me to Saturday Art classes and they started us off on watercolour before moving through pencil and acrylic. I found myself settling on oils as my preferred medium for painting, but I have never lost admiration for the skill and beauty that watercolour brings out. These days I have developed a bit more of the patience required to build the layers of pigment in watercolour so I went out and purchased myself a set to play around with.
